Artist's Comments

A Christmas gift for my mom, who breeds purebred Tonkinese cats for a living.

My mom LOVES stars, and the color blue, so I made sure to incorporate those into the design ^_^

This drawing took like 3 hours to color, because I'm focusing more on blending several different colors rather than just different shades of the one color (for instance, instead of using two shades of aqua for the outfit, I did aqua, prussian blue, gray, brown ochre...)

And on the original, there's a logo with my mom's cattery name in it (located underneath the star) but I removed their cattery name due to psycho stalkers and what not

I love this one of your cats. The pose is so well crafted and your colouring as per usually is amazing. How do you do it? do you use a special type of pencil? Do you spend hours practising? I really need to work on my colouring, that and proportion.
Sorry i haven't commented in ages, i've been really busy with revision and such. I have four AS exams to sit and an art project to give in just after christmas. I have still been viewing your work though. I liked the selkie pony trade you did in which you made a bandanna btw. that was really cool.
